    ATi's OCD Chassis Build

well here it is guys. the chassis that has been a long time coming..

    the OCD

kit will include chassis side plates, chassis braces, skid plate, upper delrin links, lower delrin links, 3mm studs for the MRC rod ends, 8-32 studs for the revo ends , axle link plates and all hardware.

the revo ends have to be purchased separate. good thing is the pack comes in 12 and 12 is needed for the build.

this chassis is designed to be used with the stock length shocks or the losi mini rock crawler shocks.

i went ahead and used the mini rock crawler shocks for this build.
LOSB1439 with 30wt oil in all four. a cupple things i did and it doesn't show in the pics is i used the stock black spring on the back left side. and shortened the rear shocks by 1/4 using fuel tubing.

    here are the links complete.

chassis all together now with the tranny and links installed.

now its time to remove the axles for the stock chassis and swap the link plates and transfer over the axles to the OCD.

***With the current length of the links that are sent you will notice the the wheelbase is over the legal limit of 8.5. what i did was trimmed off 5mm from the rear lower links (another option is to heat and bend the links for a high clearance setup. your choice). this did three things; brought the rig into specs, rotated the rear diff up, and raised the rear of the chassis. the raising of chassis is the reason i shortened the rear shocks. doing that made the chassis level again.***

all thats left it a few minor tweaks in link placement, wiring, a few plates for battery placement and you can call this one done!!

the next series of pics are randome shots to show what i have done...

no need for body posts. i used the chassis ends to get the body slammed.

with ATi's new 1.9 Bead locks..

    more random shots.
