ok guys i did some measureing

    proline K5
    TLTs
    standard hex
1.55 stamped wheels (about 50% backspacing, ie hex mount center line of wheel)
    1.55 BFGs

i get about 7/16" of tire sticking out in the back. 1/2" if you count the sidewall bulge
i get about 9/16" in the front.

i could probly get 1-2mm less per side by going to thin SCX hexes.

    thoughts?

yes. didnt take any pics:cry: id call it 60-65% tire coverage
id really like to tuck the tires or close. but im already running TLTs.
1.55 arent helping, but 1.9s would kill the stock 15" wheel look i wanted. flares would also kill the stock/factory look

I was talking to Patrick about 1.55's and he made a good point, they have to stick out further in order to clear knuckles and arms. Unless you go with K44's or maybe even MRC axles your gonna have a hard time tucking. I was thinking of sticking with axial axles, price and parts availability being a big reason, and finding a wide body, like the H2 NewBright JK. Then, I could find a set of zero offset rims like the HPI stock car and do faux rings. Seeing as how I just passed my first kidney stone in my life this morning, I might treat myself to those K44's:mrgreen:

PS..sorry for typo's and jibberjabber, but Im still hogh on pain pills and fell sleep about 3 writing this.

Cory, sounds like your Blazer may be marginal even for Class 1! :eek2: If only you knew someone who could narrow TLT axles....

Like Steve said, 1.5s nearly always widen the track due to the lack of backspacing needed for knuckle clearance. It's the reason my LJ has 1.9s on it......though that's about to change.

Steve, you have my sympathy! I've done the kidney stone thing before. Worst pain I've ever been in in my life. :blah:

I love the idea, my bruiser loves this idea too. Class 0 for the win.

I really like the idea of a class 0 as well. I have been dropping my bruiser down until it wont go much further. I am tempted on mowing down the hex on my 1.55 wheels to bring the wheels in another 1/4"

Im starting to get the itch to build a truck for the unofficial Texas RC Rock Crawlers True Scale Class 0 .... class. Problem is that funds are low but I have a chassis and a clean Cherokee body that I could get an interior for (the H2 interiors fit really well). Would probably have to run TLT's for the low cost and appropriate width but thats cool since this class is more about looks than performance. I dont know, Im just rambling and seeing where the interest amound the rest of you is at the moment.
