    Re: SgtSteve gets on board

Forgot to mention that I also ordered up some 800mah lipos, I want to try and mount them to the front upper links rather than the rear axle, too much weight back there. Im going to be adding washers to the rims up front to help with the weight distrobution..Hopefully this weekend at Patricks I can pick up some great tips..

    Re: SgtSteve gets on board

The Skeeter has arrived. I took a couple of post build pics then when right into building it. First up are the chassis plates. Im too tire to get it all posted tonight, so i will finish tomorrow morning. For now though,

You should be able to see the custom engraving MThead was kind enough to do for me. Unfortunatly, he misspelt it, but did get a new down and will have it out to me Saturday.

Received the two plates, skid, mounting hardware and servo plates front and rear..no rod ends, but I had some, so no big deal.

One problem I ran into is that I wanted to the lowest inner most holes for the upper links, on the side where the motor plate is, the ball end hits it. I grinded the plate down as much as I could without grinding away the motor but it still rubs. Tomorrow I will try and shave the ball end down a bit to see if clears. If not, I will just move them to the outer holes.I also did a test fit with my 1050 3s rhino, and it just barely doesnt fit on the front uppers, but i think my new 800mah 2s batts will fit just fine.

Problem area, way out of focus

Front flex, not too much, but may need to limit the shocks a bit:

    Same for the rear:

Fully loaded minus the body, dont really know what this proves, but it looks cool:

Lets get vertical, unfortunatly, until I get the bashers, it wont get anywhere:

    upskirt

Looking good, Steve. And I've got shock oil to bring on Saturday. I've got 45, 60, and 100, I believe. We can discuss tomorrow.

    Re: SgtSteve gets on board

Excellent Tommy, thank you. One more thing, if you or anyone else has extra 2s lipo's around 800mah or so I would like to borrow them for tomorrow. I still only have the stock battery and dont feel like putting the fxr in tonight, leaving stock elec for now.

On another note, I redid my chassis for the scaler, and got hung up on a few parts so its far from ready. Unless I do a marathon run tonight it wont be ready, but I will bring it anyway. Its more of a bummer on my part since I really like the way its coming out and wanted to show it off.

Steve, I've got some 600 and 800 mAH batteries you can borrow. I'll also be bringing my charger with me. :)

Looks good Steve! Looks like I need to pick up some marine yokes.

One suggestion is move the upper links on chassis up one hole.

If you out board the rear shocks it make it way more stable also.

Btw when can I get my tires back ? :lol2:
